Donor & volunteer update
Santa Barbara, September 2026
Five weeks in, and our buckets have never been empty. Here is what you helped make happen.
Thank you for being part of Bouquet Collective from the very start. We wanted to send a proper note about our first month: where the flowers went, who put them together, and what is coming next. Pictures included, because the flowers speak better than we do.
On August 4 we had our official launch at the AppFolio Impact Fair, with the help of Katelyn and Katie. We made over 80 bouquets in an afternoon. Half were dropped off at the Cancer Center, and the rest went home with AppFolio employees to bring to loved ones.
80+ bouquetsHalf to the Cancer CenterWeeks two and four were skeleton-crew weeks: a small group, a lot of buckets, and plenty of fun figuring out our rhythm. Flower pickup, stripping, wrapping, delivery routes. The bones of BoCo got built in these two weeks.
Week three was all about SBCC. We hosted a bouquet-making event for their staff as they kicked off the new school year, sending everyone back to campus with something fresh on their desks.
Week five brought our first Happy Flower Hour, an evening event with a full table of volunteers, snacks, and a sunset. Together we made 80 bouquets for the Cancer Center, plus loose flowers for our "facilities team" to deliver to facilities around town.
80 bouquetsLoose flowers around townWe are overwhelmed and overjoyed with the support we are receiving. Every bucket of donated flowers and every hour at the table has turned into something a stranger got to carry home. Thank you.
If you would like to join us at the next Happy Flower Hour, or know a friend who would enjoy an evening of flowers, just reply to this note. There is always room at the table.
With gratitude,Bouquet Collective Santa Barbara
